How do I change my site name?
You can change your site name at any time by going to Settings > Site & domain name.
What is a site name?
A site name is the name you have given your site. Your site name will appear publicly to your site visitors, and in emails that are sent to your mailing list recipients. Your site name can be changed any any time here in your Dashboard.
How does a site name differ from a domain name?
The domain name is the link that people will use to get to your site, the site name is what is shown to users ON your website or in communications. Your site name and domain name can be different.
Is a custom domain name required?
No, a custom domain name is NOT required. By default, we assign you with a domain name with this format: mymember.site/yoursitename
You are free to use this domain name or purchase a custom domain name (e.g. mysite.com).

Can I change my site link / domain name?
Yes, you CAN change your site link / domain name. However, the process differs, depending on what your site's status is. Contact us and let us know what you'd like to change it to and we'll step you through the process.
If you do plan on using a custom domain name, we recommend getting that set up BEFORE submitting your site for approval.
Can I change from a non-custom to a custom domain name after my site is live?
Yes, you can change from a non-custom to a custom domain after your site has gone live with a non-custom domain name.

How do I buy a custom domain?
What's a registrar?
A domain name registrar is a company that sells domain names. There are thousands of registrars to choose from. Examples:
namecheap.com (recommended)
godaddy.com
What registrar do you recommend?
Do I have to register my custom domain name before adding the custom domain to MMS?
You do not have to actually have to own the domain name before entering it into the Dashboard. You also don't have to specify a domain name before finishing the rest of the site setup steps, you can come back and do that step later.
We do, however, recommend registering your domain name as soon as possible to ensure that it's not taken by someone else.
Can I have multiple domains?
Your site can only have one official domain, but you CAN point an unlimited number of other domains to use using domain forwarding.

How long does it take for the domain to start pointing?
It usually takes about 15 to 30 minutes, but it can take longer with some other registrars. You can check to see if your domain is pointing by entering it into this tool: https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/yourdomain.com/52.87.130.147
