Here are the common reason and solutions for PayPal payout issues:
Unclaimed
A payment can be "unclaimed" because the payment was sent to either an invalid or unregistered/unconfirmed email address. You can also choose to accept/deny payments that are sent to you in a different currency than what you hold in you PayPal account.
There are other reasons this can happen also but typically it is either the result of PayPal account preferences you have set, or it's because of an error related to the email address that the payment was sent to.
Denied
Payments can be denied for any number of reasons defined by the error code. See the table below for your issue.
Error codes
The following table contains common error codes:
Error code | Reason | Description |
1000 | UNDEFINED | An error occurred while processing this payout request. In a few minutes, either retry the request or make a new request. |
1005 | PENDING_RECIPIENT_NON_HOLDING _CURRENCY_PAYMENT_PREFERENCE | This payout is pending because the recipient has set their account preferences to review credits in this currency. The recipient has been notified. Check back later for the status of this payout. |
14765 | RECEIVER_UNREGISTERED | The recipient for this payout does not have an account. A link to sign up for an account was sent to the recipient. However, if the recipient does not claim this payout within 30 days, the funds are returned to your account. |
3148 | RECEIVER_COUNTRY_NOT_ALLOWED | PayPal canโt send this payout because the recipient lives in a country where payouts are not allowed. |
8330 | RECEIVING_LIMIT_EXCEEDED | The recipient cannot accept this payout because it exceeds the amount they can receive at this time. Resubmit your payout request for a different amount. |
9302 | RISK_DECLINE | This transaction was declined by PayPal due to risk concerns. |
