Member payment limits

Updated over a week ago

Since the release of Visa's new Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program (VAMP) in October 2025, there is increased pressure on merchants to reduce the number of chargebacks/disputes. As a result, we have implemented a number of new tools to ensure we continue to be VAMP compliant.

What it means for mymember.site, and our creators:

  • For every chargeback, our company pays a $50 fee.

  • There is no longer a time limit for chargebacks. Before it was 90 days, but now a fan can process an unlimited number of chargebacks.

  • We must keep our dispute ratio below 0.5% (which will eventually be tightened to 0.3%). The previous ratio was 0.9% so this is a significant change and higher risk.

  • If our dispute ratio goes above 0.5%, Visa will either fine our company (up to $20K) or cut us off.

  • Since we are a high-risk merchant in the adult content industry, we are under the microscope and being monitored diligently.

What helps lower the dispute ratio is called Rapid Dispute Resolution (RDR), refund before a chargeback hits. Unfortunately, this is something we need to do for rare special cases such as when a customer contacts us and there is:

a) not sufficient proof they received what they paid for, or
b) they threaten to do a chargeback because they are not satisfied.

Thankfully, these scenarios are not frequent because we have developed protocols to reduce this type of risk.

Our payment risk management protocols:

  • Sites have a credit card payment limit rating based on many factors including (but not limited to): how long sites and members have been active for, member engagement, average monthly site revenue, refund/chargeback/void reports, and creator site activity & engagement.

  • When a credit card payment limit is reached for a member, they are prompted to use a low/non-risk payment method such as PayPal, crypto, or pay by bank (EU).

  • When users do an unauthorized refund, chargeback or void, they are automatically blocked on our entire network.

At the end of the day, Visa doesn’t care if we lose them as a payment method or get fined, or if creator's lose their sites. Visa card holders are valued more than the businesses who pay high fees to use Visa's service.
