At mymember.site, we’re committed to giving content creators the freedom and tools to fully own their business and protect their creative work. Our platform is built to offer a secure, flexible environment for creators to publish and monetize content — all while staying in control.
Protecting Content is Our Priority
Content theft is a serious issue, and we take it seriously. In addition to the built-in moderation and safety features on our platform, our team works specifically to help protect your content from unauthorized use.
Who Owns Content on mymember.site?
You do. Every creator on mymember.site retains full ownership of the content they publish. Our platform is simply the space to share your work. By uploading content, you give mymember.site permission to display it to your members and fans, but ownership always remains with you.
Do You Offer Any Tools to Help Creators Protect Their Work?
Absolutely. Every creator on mymember.site gets free access to our built-in watermarking tool. This feature allows you to layer a digital signature on top of your content to help discourage unauthorized sharing or copying. Bonus: you can implement extra protection with our optional feature to add the member's email and/or username to the watermark that is embedded into the video download for a very small fee (on average around 0.05 USD).
We also have an Enhanced Video Security (DRM) tool that prevents members from bulk downloading your videos using piracy software (browser extensions, PC and mobile apps).
What if My Content is Stolen and Posted Elsewhere?
We’ve got your back. If your content has been reposted without permission, our support team is here to help. You can report copyright violations directly to us, and we’ll step in by filing formal DMCA takedown notices at no cost to you. These notices are issued to websites, hosting services, and search engines to request the removal of stolen content.
What If the Infringing Content Doesn’t Get Taken Down?
Unfortunately, not all websites comply with DMCA requests — but that doesn’t mean you’re out of options. While we’ll do everything we can, we also recommend creators reach out directly to these sites and consider legal action if needed. Our team can offer guidance and documentation to support your next steps.
Legal Options for Creators
In the U.S.: Thanks to the CASE Act, creators can now file claims with the Copyright Claims Board for up to $30,000 in damages — no lawyer or courtroom required.
In the U.K.: You can file a claim through the Intellectual Property and Enterprise Court for damages under £10,000.
In the EU: The European Union provides cross-border small claims procedures, and new protections under the Digital Services Act will soon make it easier to demand the removal of infringing content across member countries.
Proactive Piracy Monitoring
We routinely scan the web for pirated content from our creators. When we discover sites hosting stolen material, we take immediate action by contacting them and pushing for removal.
What If Someone Posts My Content on mymember.site Without Consent?
All uploads must comply with our Terms of Use and Content Policies. Creators must tag collaborators and provide release forms for all individuals shown in their content. If someone posts your work without permission, report it to our support team. We’ll investigate and remove the content if it violates our guidelines. Repeat infringers risk losing their accounts.
What If My Content Was Removed by Mistake?
If your content has been wrongly taken down for alleged copyright infringement, you can file a counter-notice through our DMCA process. We’ll review your claim and work quickly to resolve the issue.
Do Fans Own the Content They Access?
No — fans purchase access, not ownership. Creators maintain the rights to all of their content. Downloading or redistributing content is a violation of our policies and may result in account action.
