10 USD per month custom domain service fee
We require a fee of 10 USD per month for the use of the custom domain service.
This is an ongoing monthly charge while your custom domain is active — not a one-time deposit.
This amount is paid via credit card (we send you a Stripe payment link).
200 USD fee — switching to custom after your site is live
If your site is already live on a non-custom domain (e.g. mymember.site/yoursitename) and you want to switch to a custom domain, we require a 200 USD one-time fee. This is paid via credit card (we send you a Stripe payment link).
IMPORTANT: If you change a live custom domain site to another custom domain, all of the active memberships have to be canceled, so you would need to get all of your members to join again each time you start a new custom domain site.
Why is this required?
We do this because setting up custom domains is time consuming for our support team, and involves multiple third parties. The entire process can take up to 7 business days from start to finish. We want to ensure you are serious and ready to invest in your site's success when using a custom domain.
Getting your domain name
Buy in your dashboard: Go to Settings → Domains and use Get a domain. Search for an available name and complete purchase — we register the domain for you and point it automatically. The domain registration price is separate from the monthly service fee above.
Buy externally: Register at a domain registrar (see how to register / buy a domain name), enter it in your dashboard, and point DNS yourself. The 10 USD per month service fee still applies.
Domain ownership
We never claim ownership of your custom domain. Domains purchased through the dashboard are registered for you, not retained by MMS. If you leave mymember.site, we release your domain so you can take it elsewhere.
