You will be required to request a transfer from your side from your registrar (domain provider) account. Namecheap is preferred. We strongly recommend Namecheap for a number of reasons, including free privacy and solid industry support. Create a Namecheap account if you do not already have one. You can, however, use a different domain provider if you wish.​

If you are moving the domain to a company other than Namecheap and it is less than 60 days old, you cannot transfer it yet. Contact us anyway if you are unsure — we can tell you the date you can request it. A move into your own Namecheap account does not have that wait.​

The 10 USD per month custom domain service fee still applies while your custom domain is active. Do not change the A record if you want your site to keep loading on that domain.
