Building your homepage: Hero, About, Mailing list, and Custom sections

Add and configure the foundational homepage sections — Hero, About me, Mailing list, and Custom — and learn how to add new sections.

Your Homepage is built from sections you stack on top of each other. The Hero section sits at the top, followed by any combination of content showcases, library views, and the foundational sections covered here — About me, Mailing list, and freeform Custom blocks.

Hero section

The Hero section is the first thing visitors see when they land on your homepage — typically a banner image or video with your tagline and a call-to-action button.

You can configure:

  • Header and Subheader text, with their own colors, background colors, and transparency

  • Social media link icons — pulled from your Assets library, with style options (full color / white / black)

  • Join button — toggle on or off, with a custom button label

  • Alignment — Left, Center, or Right

  • Background — image, video, or solid color, with transparency, blur, fade, and parallax controls; configure desktop and mobile backgrounds independently

Adding a new section

Click Add new section in the homepage editor and you'll see the full picker. Section types include:

  • Hero — banner with header, optional CTA, and a custom background

  • Content showcase — a curated highlight strip of one content type (videos, photosets, stories, store items, recorded streams, models)

  • Stories library, Video library, Photoset library, Recorded livestream library — full embedded grid of one content type

  • Store — your store products

  • Memberships — your pricing tiers, with billing-period switcher and "Best offer" highlighting built in

  • Mailing list — newsletter sign-up form

  • About me — bio block with optional CTA and social row

  • Custom — a freeform block with title, description, thumbnail, and image gallery for anything that doesn't fit the prebuilt types

About me section

About me gives you a structured "introduction" block — header, rich-text bio, optional CTA button, and an optional social row. Style the background, alignment, and spacing the same way you do the Hero.

Mailing list section

Mailing list embeds a newsletter sign-up form right on your homepage. The only field visitors fill in is their email — you control the headline, subheader, alignment, and background.

Custom section

When none of the prebuilt section types fits, use Custom. You supply a section title, a short description (up to 500 characters), a thumbnail, and a gallery of images — useful for highlighting events, partnerships, or anything else outside the standard content types.

Things to know

  • Every section type supports independent desktop and mobile backgrounds, so you can use a wide image on desktop and a portrait crop on mobile.

  • The "This background is SFW" toggle flags the visual as safe-for-work — useful when your site is shown to users who live in regions or countries where age verification is required.

  • Sections are reorderable — drag the handle on the left of any section in the homepage editor to move it up or down.
