Setting free download limits allows you to restrict the number of free downloads that members will receive as part of their membership. This is done inside each membership in the Benefits & limits settings.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Download prices must be set to 0 USD in your content access settings for the free download limit to work.
Customizing limits per rebill period
Inside each membership, you can set a specific number of free downloads for each billing period. You can give the allowance at join, meaning members get their one-time only free downloads when they subscribe, or on every rebill, where the allowance refreshes after each billing cycle.
Free download reset
The free download reset allows you to specify when a member’s free downloads refresh. If you choose the rebill option, you can either Reset each billing period for a full refresh, or allow Carry over unused downloads, which adds any remaining downloads to the next cycle.
Paid downloads after limit is reached
You can enable “Allow paid download after reaching free limit”, so that once a member has used all of their free downloads, extra downloads automatically become paid and the system charges the preset “Price per download.”
